This thematic cluster focuses on learning and cognition. Although the articles in this cluster connect to past and current research, the emphasis is on trying to develop an understanding of cognition and learning as a central feature of complex living organisms, and specifically human beings. The primary focus is on human beings, especially children, but the discussions make connections to our own adult thinking and learning, as well as to animals and other organisms.
The material in this cluster began with a book as the final product. it may yet become a book, but for now it is presented here. Quite a few articles are still being adapted and edited to web-form, while others are only sketched out. So, if this thematic cluster is of interest to you, please return and check of updates and new entries.
Parents, teachers, and researchers may find these articles to be of interest. I've tried to present this material in as much of a non-academic style as possible, and to keep the technical jargon minimized, but explained when used.
Hope you find these articles to be interesting and enjoyable to read! -- Jeff Bloom
