A Gift from Nowhere

... a study in emotional ecology

Still pondering driver
…aggression—are—you—a—coward
…an invitation to fight?

What a surprising gift!

My reaction —-
not fear
not anger
part bewilderment
part on alert status … increased heart rate
… clarity, focus
… present
The mosquito effect
like it to not be there
but won’t go away
it’s all you can see and hear
an irritation, an itch that
can’t be scratched

The “other”
hmmm…
out of control
anger and aggression in charge
It must be painful…
that slow burn effect
then flaring up
but never any coolness
a lobster in a pot of water
confusing,
but oddly comforting warmth
…. until it isn’t.
Don’t think it’s just the “other”
We all slow cook
immersed in thick
hot or cold
emotional darkness

Have to nab these learning
moments
when
you
can!

Thank you, whomever you are!
Hope you can free yourself
of dark, hot, emotional control
… a self-made hell
we all create…
Thank you for the learning moment…
